Natural charcoal for environmentally conscious hookah smokers
Natural charcoal is called "natural" because it consists of 100 percent natural ingredients. Most natural charcoal products even consist of only a single ingredient. This is usually the fibre of the coconut husk or of bamboo.
Coconut husk is a waste product of the coconut industry, e.g. in Southeast Asia, and thus an environmentally friendly resource recycling. Bamboo, on the other hand, grows extremely fast, much faster than wood. That's why we prefer hookah charcoal made from bamboo, because no valuable tree has to be felled for it, as would be the case for common charcoal.
And so it would make the Kaya doubly happy if you would also grill your barbecue meat and grilled sausage on natural charcoal in summer... but that's just by the way. Natural charcoal for hookahs made from bamboo or coconut have proven to be tasteless and odourless, which is why they are the best for hookah smokers.
